Ok so I was able to install debian sid and now it boots into gnome desktop, but touchscreen is not working. In the manual, that I was partially following, it says that I need to run TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/input/event3 TSLIB_CONFFILE=/etc/ts.conf ts_calibrate
but it shows me error ts_open: No such file or directory

manual: https://elektranox.org/website/debian_on_n900.html#nodm
(That manual is a bit confusing.)
Any ideas why it shows me this error? Thanks in advance.

Try TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/event3 TSLIB_CONFFILE=/etc/ts.conf ts_calibrate

Make sure you have modules in /lib/modules, specifically the tsc2005.ko one (the rest should also be there) so cp -r /lib/modules/* to /media/mmc1/lib/modules/ in maemo.

Nope, I get the same error. And I checked for "tsc2005.ko" it's inside both folders "2.6.28-omap1" and "current"

2.6.28.NIT.03 sorry it took me so long to reply. The blue arrow doesn't work inside console -_- and so I have to create a script for a command.

You'll have to copy everything for the same folder as your kernel In your case 2.6.28.NIT.03. Or press the number that corresponds to Maemo 5 2.6.28omap... in the bootmenu in order to flash that kernel.

coping to 2.6.28.NIT.03 didn't solve the problem. Gonna try to reflash the kernel to omap. [Added] With omap kernel it just hangs on the "booting - please wait". [added] LOL ok I was just stupid and copied omap kernel folder into 2.6.28.NIT.03 instead of running that command that MohammadAG wrote. xD So, calibration tool works now. Gonna restore xorg.conf and see if it works. Thanks for your help.
