In connection with release of the new version abiword for the personal computer and errors in the existing version for N900 which it would be desirable to see corrected, it would be desirable to learn, who has done work on carrying over of this program on N900. It would be desirable to ask it if it is possible, to continue work on the project.
In a package it is specified that author Hubert Figuière.
But at other forum (meegos.ru) wrote that the author specified in a package, asserts that someone has used his name another.

PS. I am sorry for possible errors in my English

Easy Debian software is not adapted for small screens and too slow.

There is still an alternative in the form of FreOffice, but it too isn't updated for a long time, and has at present too many bugs and problems with stability.

Abiword is already in the repositories - maybe in Testing?

You can always setup a script to launch abiword inside easydebian without running the full LXDE... Done right, it'd be fairly lightweight, not much overhead compared to "native".

If you don't trust the Maintainer: field, check the most recent entries in debian/changelog.

What I think the OP is asking for is who made this package for the N900, so he can ask for an updated version from the upstream sources.
