total price:$8.79, incldg. shipping to us.
shipping was prompt, and this bp-4l
battery seems of a quality comparable to the original nokia battery.
This item doesn't seem to be available anymore. It also looks like Mugen doesn't sell a battery for the N810 anymore. If found this one, but it can't be for real.

Says it's a new Nokia OEM battery for $0.99. Can I believe the seller. Are there any other options nowadays?

This site has both in stock:

I bought the 3600mah from them a few months ago and have no complaints.

This site has the smaller one in stock:
http://www.mugenbattery.com/nokia-n9...er-battery.htm
They do have the big one, but they only have the cover for the N97.

Thanks.
So I take it the smaller one fits without changing the battery door?

Yes, and I believe it is higher capacity than the factory one.

The bulge from the 3600mah battery cover isn't that bad, of course it makes the car mount useless, but a small price to pay for the capacity. It is plastic though, so it doesn't feel as nice as the stock one. I shimmed it with paper to keep it from flexing and making noise when typing.

My original Nokia BP-4L is still good for 6+ hrs after almost 3 yrs of use. But my workday is 8+ hrs, so I bought a $3 Ebay special, and you get what you pay for. At full charge the thing has never lasted a second over 2hrs, and this is with screen brightness all the way down, and bluetooth & gps off, and only using the N810 for web browsing/skype via wifi at work.

Found this replacement battery on Amazon, it had good reviews and a reasonable price. Been using it for a few months now. For the first month or so it seemed as good as the original Nokia, but now I am only getting a solid 6+ hrs out of it; still, for $12.95 it is a decent replacement. So between my original Nokia, and this replacement, I am happy and have more than enough battery life to carry me even through overtime!

Just saw that you can get a genuine Nokia BP-4L for only $16 on Amazon.

Do you have a link for it? How do you know for sure it's genuine Nokia? A lot of the wording is pretty deceptive for these parts?

Has anyone used batteries from BestBatt?

http://www.bestbatt.com/Nokia_BP_4L_.../bbnokbp4l.htm

I was looking for a camera battery and ran across the company after reading the reviews for my camera battery.

I'd guess that isn't a Nokia battery since the image of it is all black.

I bought one of these from this amazon seller last summer and it was the real thing and still working at full capacity a year later.

I've had pretty good luck with this: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/39142

I've been using one in my E63 for the past year and it's fine, about equal to the Nokia original cell when I bought it, maybe a bit worse now after all this use. I just bought another one but haven't used it yet.
