My concern is about the application open animation. It's the same as on blackberry 10 (move to multitasking view then zoom in) and it's cumbersome, and slow. Please make the apps open immediately, even if they only show a splash screen for a few seconds. Simple transitions (zooming in from the icon, or fading/sliding in) are welcome, they give a nice touch, but the S60v5/BB10 slow and multi-step animations are really tiresome. S60 at least allowed the user to turn them off, and guess what, it felt like you overclocked the phone.

Very interesting indeed, I like the idea of several application stores.
One can imagine original applications stores and therefore no more censorship (see what happens on the Apple app store where some apps are rejected for spurious reasons).

I hope someboby has backed up the old icons. I hate the new ones (personal thoughts)

You'll still find the old icons in the SDK. They're all in /usr/share/themes/jolla-ambient/meegotouch/icons/ on the emulator.

Isn't amazon have they'r own "android store" start make me think amazon will help them with appstore and is one of the investors ?

Loads of companies use Amazon Web Services, so that's not much of an indication by itself.

Jolla might well be intending to use Amazon Appstore as one of its stores, though. I have no idea what licensing for it is like, so I can't comment on that.
