Honestly, I much prefer the Maemo Community to have control over the distribution channels (as we do now) than for Nokia to have control (especially if that control is primarily in S60-oriented hands).
And I am sure Nokia will not go ahead and try to implement a pay-for system on Maemo.org also, when such a platform already exists on OVI.
For my perspective - that is the big plus I see for OVI - as I feel we do need commercial apps in the Maemo ecosystem.
