Also, didn't things from ssvb/serge/Siarhei Siamashka go into Xomap before he got hired by Nokia?

Fanoush's bootmenu was on stage.maemo.org SVN at some point too, used in Sardine? (not sure)

Another interesting thing to look into, how many community members turned into Nokia employees or subcontractors.

I don't know if this qualifies, but I remember at some time someone fixed the App Manager so when you added a program, it didn't start you over at the beginning again to find the next program you wanted to add. You kept your place after the list of apps refreshed.

Unfortunately, in the current App Manager it appears to have reverted to its original behavior, so unless you know the exact name of apps you want to add (difficult if you are looking thru the list for programs you might want to add) every time you install one, you have to start over to find the next one.

I hope this is clear! I tried...

This has been fixed in PR 1.1's Hildon Application Manager. Fixed by, I believe, a Nokian or an employee of one of its subcontractors - not sure which, but the log on maemo.gitorious.org listing the commits would probably tell you who.

... wasn't the N800's FM radio receiver "easter egg" discovered by a user?

Yes, then Nokia shipped software to support it.
