i've been trying to figure this out, as I have no background in programming at all. How hard would it be to have a widget made that would be able to add the source code for individual google gadgets to be used as a widget on the desktop. Considering they can be added to any webpage. It would open up a large amount of possible widgets for us all. I'm guessing it would have to be some sort of small web browser window/widget.

While they worked kinda buggy in OS2008 nevertheless would be great to see on Maemo 5.

it didnt look that bad on OS2008. Looks like they did make quite a bit of progress on it. the link for the project has a vid of it running.

That would take it a step further than what I was thinking of. I was thinking of a window/portal that would be a widget on our regular desktops, not a dashboard style widget interface.

Can google gadgets be installed on the Nokia N900, does anyone know ?
