I managed to use shoutcast xml api to create a simpler version of shaoutcast radio database at

http://muf.mobi/shoutcast/

Have a look at ad see if you'll like it.

It uses shoutcast's xml feed for winamp (not sure about legality of it though)

Sometimes remote web server of shoutcast.com is quite bussy and you may get errors. if you do, just try couple times

This is great, although there are some "bugs":

Buttons are too small and not finger friendly.

Opening a station switches to a white browser window and you have to go back manually.

Other than that, it's a great frontend! And it starts playing in the media player immediately.

thanks, i have increased button size but getting blank is something to do with browser. it loads the remote page then the stream. if anyone has a fix such thing i can implement it

Great web app! Works just fine for me, I put it on my desktop! I am using the stylus in all programmes, it's quicker IMO, so no need for bigger buttons and less left to choose on the screen for me..

i have added some ajax to the page so it would feel more like an app

I´m getting my Nokia n900 week 3, so I cant test this.....but I´m wondering, what application is the radiostation opened after the link is clicked?
The ordinary Media Player or some third party?

default media player handles them
