Under the battery cover on the left is this hook shaped cutout and contacts below. I was searching for somewhere to fix a wrist strap but it's no good fort that.
Anyone have an idea?

It's the serial port for cold-flashing the device.

Maybe (and if this is your device) you want to remove the mac addresses from the picture..

I thought the serial pins were the ones closest to the battery?

Does anyone have pinouts for both sets of pins?

It's one I pulled from google image search, so it's none of my worry.
