I've searched a bit and found several threads about this, but they're all fairly old, so here's a new one in the hope that in the meantime something better has come out.
I'm looking for a music player that has ogg support, proper random play, playlist on-the-go and doesn't use the Tracker for its indexing (I disabled it because it was giving me severe performance issues while also not indexing most of my music, for whatever reason). I don't care about equalizers, gapless or any other tinsel.
Something like SomePlayer, in other words, except with an interface that isn't completely awful and counter-intuitive.

Does such a thing exist?
