srsly, is the data of people who used finnish storge solution suddenly in hands of US company with their snoopig laws (is this even legal under EU laws?), without any consent given of the user? wtf really???

Another proof why it's better to keep your data on storage, which you own yourself. If you need a cloud set up your own one. You never know what the future brings.

It gets better. Somebody opened an item about Younited sell in TJC and added an interesting bit of information. ArsTechnica reported that:
as of 2008, Alexander had as much as $50,000 invested in Synchronoss, a cloud storage firm.

If you can't beat them, buy them... Time to look to for other alternatives (not that I have anything interesting stored in cloud), elfcloud.fi could be one option.
