No one willling to guess? 150€.

Now I have to hunt down a lot of keyboards and back covers (whole frames cause if you buy only the back cover you won't get the shutter plate for camera) and usb port. So I still have room to throw some money on these if I could get them work and sell with 10-15€ per piece to NEW users in a big Maemo Leste happening with workshops and all.

Some have already asked spare parts and if you ask again in may I may be able to answer. I have to now make room to my deks for soldering iron and boxes for parts and stuff and get my pc ready for flashing. I got one with usb working but I can't get the flashing go through (stops in cmt error and does not give a working cellular). So it may stay as a wifi only phone. Changed the motherboard from a broken frame to a whole one and added missing keyboard. Otherwise seems to work.

150e is not a bad price and you probably didnt over pay. If you manage to get 10 or so fully working devices you will probably break even.

@peterleichen They asked about six grands while advertising them as "70-100 pieces, all tested in a fully working condition just without batteries". To have only 58 of them, without any phone working fully, with over half without keyboard, usb port or backcover took the price down a bit.

Yesterday took the motor out of my bike and today build a holder for it. Gonna take it to my friend and pay him to try to make it work. and I have a car to build and some computer projects so this another new project with 58 N900 devices is not gonna be solved fast.

If someone would share my vision of getting these fixed for community I could forward these to him. But not for someone just reselling them for good price.

Yes, me alone on a parking lot with three messed up guys who talked over each others. But I parked near the supermarket doors with a good view to the surveillance cam and on a day time with customers passing buy when I checked those phones on an opened guitar case. But I have not yet closed this case if cops are interested on those phones. Then I may have thrown 150€ for nothing. But before buying I informed cops of my intention of buying these and gave all information I got and I there is now surveillance video of the buying situation so all should be clearly documented at least.

Still hoping to get more parts from the selleer cause he was a linux guy and understood ther meaning for the community.

But the seller promised there would come no further questions and all is legit. Trash phones and no new ones so should be ok.

What would be the easiest way to delete all personal info from these N900s? Some have changed the lock code so even though I can open the phone because the lock code is not asked when starting the phone I can't empty personal data from settings. Is there something I can do from command line? Now I have manually deleted contacts, location cache, converstaions, fmms, pictures and videos, deleted all the accounts and now noticed that there are saved wifi connections on internet settings which I have missed on previous devices.

Someone could have misused the passport and bank account infos found on these devices.
