Is there a procedure for updating, via fastboot (whenever a new version is released here), while preserving the data?

(I'm guessing that "fastboot flash sailfish sailfish.img001" and such will wipe/rewrite the whole partition)

well, i'm just updating via OTA, after boot fail message fastboot flash new boot image.

just make sure updated files are available before you install OTA. i forgot once i had ext4 partition when installed OTA, and then my phone waited couple of days until i was able to recover it )

I just noted that the flashing files have been updated to 3.4.0.24.
I'm now updating the Jolla via OTA, and supposedly when it fails booting I will have to "fastboot flash boot boot.ext4.img"

Keeping fingers crossed. Will report when it's over

An hour or two later: it worked!

Hi, I have a jolla1 stuck at boot after a failing OTA update with latest update.
I tried recovery mode, the damn thing asks me for devicelock, but i didn't have any screen lock, and have no idea what other "devicelock" the thing may have had.

So i wonder: is there a way to reflash the device like with one of these images bypassing this lock? Thanks!

Hello,

have anybody here some news about flashing files for Sailfish OS 4.0.1 "Koli"?

Stay with peace.

They'll share those files once Koli gets a general release.
