Has anyone found any good URLs for streaming UK based TV programs -- in particular BBC, but also other channels

Neither tvcatchup.com nor the bbc iplayer site appear to have suitable streams

theres been a few threads on here about gettin tvcatchup and iplaer suitable for n900, havent used them myself but i think tvcatchup works if you enter through the mobile gateway, or choose the low quality stream on the main site. but best do a search incase i'm talking out my a**e!

Yea TVcatchup runs fine for me as long as I'm running decent 3G signal or above. Watched the Football the other day while at work through my phone, Gotta love the N900.

Testing over wifi (connection is fine, pc streaming fine)

"Extra Decoders Support" (extras-devel) is installed. Perhaps I should try removal....

http://beta.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bigscreen
* Navigation screen looks great
* program info super
* Click on video to go full screen
* Audio plays fine, video of trailer plays, not program
* Can also play within the nav window -- video pane usually blank

bbc.co.uk/iplayer/bigscreen
* as above

iphone.tvcatchup.com
* Media player starts
* Cannot play stream (playlist corrupted)

mobile.tvcatchup.com
* as above

www.tvcatchup.com
* initial stream never seems to start

Running PR 1.2 & using microb

removed extra decoders support -- no difference?

Can play local videos, and stream from DLNA server in a variety of formats ok... so looks like some browser config related issue...........

TVCatchup works fine for me on 3G, with "Low Bandwidth" channels.

Re-installed the PR1.2 firmware. No additional media apps/codecs/browser addons enabled..

Still struggle to stream either PCcatchup or iplayer - both are about 1 fps even on wifi (laptops etc on the same net can stream just fine, downloads even on phone come in at several Mbps)

Can anyone confirm the URL/sequence of selections made in case I'm using the wrong streams?

Many thanks

Yes, me too. I find it very hit and miss, sometimes it works better than other times, I assume it is load issues with them or with my ISP.
Generally speaking for me, the low quality stream plays the video OK but the audio is choppy, whilst the high quality plays the audio OK but the video stops and starts all the time, so I can't win either way!
