I got this idea from another thread, so I thought to make a quick how to, to help people change colours of wallpapers and pictures quickly. Please note this is just a quick method to change images, and it may or may not work for your image. I'm using this particular web service only cause it was the first result in my google search

It also works well on the N900 (tested with firefox)

  1. Go to http://www.phixr.com/ and hit the get started button

  2. Click "No thanks, skip this »" or if you want to, make an account.

  3. Select where the picture comes from, ie the computer, online etc. For this example I've used a random image off google http://www.forteach.net/img_articles...-wallpaper.jpg

  4. Once uploaded, locate the "Brightness, contrast, saturation Hue..." button and click it

  5. Use the Hue scroll bar thingy to change the colour to something you like

  6. If your doing multiple wallpapers, then remember the hue value so you can set the remaining images similarly.
  7. At the bottom of the editor there is the option to save the image or upload it to a webservice. For this how-to, i'll be saving the file

  8. Change the filename if you require and click Download/Save

You may also want to experiment with the settings to make the image more suited to your needs
