hi guys, I've installed qcpufreq and set my cpu speed to 1150mhz. today I've installed u-boot and when I rebooted my device I found my cpu freq maximum at standard 600mhz. is it a bug? any idea?

does this happen all the time?
there is a standard feature which resets the default config you chose for the CPU to the factory default config after a "crash" or unclean shutdown
(which i wouldn't know how to define; personally i press power button briefly & then tap on Switch off)
maybe if the shut down after the install wasn't okay, i may have triggered that?

why not putting u-boot on power-kernel's conflict list, then?
o well, just noticed there is a uboot for power kernel v46...
also noticed that uboot actually lists powerkernel as a conflicting package

When you reboot, the cpu frequency gets reset to the normal values. Its normal.

Thanks guys! it's possible to write a script that automatically shifts cpufreq to 1150mhz at bootstrap?

You need uboot-power

You will have to install via terminal and need to install certain versions, it will tell you in the dependancy pop up.

You can also use MaeModder to permanently set the CPU speed on boot.
You can also do it yourself, look at the kernel wiki.

after you have installed uboot-power, reboot, and

Code:

sudo gainroot
kernel-config limits 250 850
kernel-config save myprofile1
kernel-config default myprofile1
(from jakiman's N900 Overclocking Guide)

you can use any value between 125 and 1150 as limits
and replace myprofile1 with whatever you want...

(i removed the instruction
Code:
kernel-config load lv
because your device may or may not be stable @ 1150 MHz with lower voltages;
there is also the risk that it bricks your N900 blabla...)
