I was wondering if anyone out there has a program to control an Apple TV over WiFi like the iPod and iPhone can using the Apple Remote App...Any thoughts...Any...

I've just release RĉMote which gives you a virtual Apple Remote as a Desktop widget. It works with all Apple producs that have a infrared port for the Apple Remote. It only works on the N900.

It doesn't work with my MacMini from 2008. This could be due to the fact that there are several hardware revisions of the AppleRemote around. Maybe I could make it work by using a different AppeRemote config for lirc on the Ubuntu-MacMini, but I didn't try this yet.
It would be great if the widget could be configured for emulating different revisions of the AppleIR. I would be happy to provide help with my revision.

Hmm... What might be the problem. I installed Raemote, but when going to desktop/long-press/edit/Add Widget - I'm not seeing Raemote in the list? (and application manager noted that 1 application succesfully installed).
I thinks this may not be related to Raemote, but any ideas why I'm not seeing it in the list? Or are there any other way to add it to desktop? Or should it be in the Widget list (it wasn't in the application list either)?

Now it works well with my brand new project MacBook at work
(What a timing...got the Mac on Monday, Raemote came on Tuesday!)
