Hi, I've just installed Easy-Debian on the n810 and I noticed it runs kind of on top of Maemo. Is it possible to boot straight into Easy-Debian instead of having both distros running at the same time?

Thanks.

Unfortunately Mer is not a Jesus despite the fact that you can pray to it.

So True! I tink the only thing that is going to let us further develop an OS (any new or current OS) is if Nokia opens everything up. Mean time we are kind of stuck.

Alternative-OS-wise, I don't think we need anything from Nokia anymore. The only problem is lack of sufficient community critical mass.

I just dug up my old N800 again (trying to use it as a remote for a Raspberry Pi), and would really, *really* love an alternative OS.

I still have my N800 sitting on the table next to my bed. I still plug it in once in a while to recharge the battery.. and play with it and remember fondly when this OS was cutting edge. Sadly, it is dated. I would love to see Android or native Debian as well. I can think of so many uses for it.
