Th only other option is sygic, which has dreadful map view function

Is there a way to set map language of OVI maps different from the systme language?
I.e., I have my n900 language set to English. However, when travelling in Russia, I would like to see the location names and everything on the map in cyrillic, not english transliterarion.
However, OVImaps interface should be English.
Is that possible?
