Arguably, to succeed the N900 and certainly Maemo will need to be able to pull new customers in from other platforms. I'm curious of those of you who have decided to buy an N900, what platform are you coming from, other than Maemo?

(Note to admins: yes I know this could be under Maemo5/Fremantle, but I believe most newcomers here will look for the N900 thread, at least that's what I did).

I'm migrating from Symbian S60 3rd and 5th Edition mobile ecosystems, and Linux Mint and Windows Vista desktop systems. I sometimes also use Windows Mobile 6, though very rarely. When I get the N900, it will be my primary computing device, assuming it is stable and capable enough. I have little doubt that it will.

Past 2 years I've gone from Blackberry 8800 to iPhone 2G to Blackberry Curve 8320 to Nokia E71.

Had to sign a contract with my wife that I'll be with the N900 for 3 years. Should be able to do it

Those of you coming from "other" platforms, could you specify which platform? Thank you.
