ajh33, .canola is invisible.
Open up XTerm and type ls -al
and shazam there it is. Don't type in shazam.

My sincerest thanks! For some reason XTerm was not recognizing the -al option for me. However when I typed ls -a shazam! there it was
I didn't type shazam though. Your method worked great! I am now configuring canola witha all my awesome podcasts.

It looks like the canola package has a dependency on a ubuntu (x86?) avahi-daemon package?
The install problem is still there.
