There is a manual fix for BT car pairing here, worked for me (Nissan Connect on 2013 Qashqai+2):

Contacts also correctly transferred afterwards.

I got a feeling we won't be seeing the update before the end of year. looking at https://coderus.openrepos.net/whitesoft/sailversion it doesn't seem like they have any builds available for anyone to test.

I'm not sure Jolla can find a possibility to resize the partitions which works 100% and is safe. But that's what needed to deploy such change as normal update since people will get very mad if it soft- or even hard-bricks their phone.
I've understood the whole rootfs size argument from Jollas side in a way that they will change the partition size in future images. So it will change in images for new phones, maybe they also provide a new image for the Xperia with a bigger rootfs partition (but you will have to reflash your phone). Maybe they will release a resizing script for all of those who would like to take the risk. But I deem it's to risky to include it in a normal update for everybody.

I looked for the exact link but didn't find it, but IIRC James commented on blog.jolla.com that it's most likely we'll have to wait until 2018.

Thx!
I just would like to make it even more clear for Linux users of an already flashed XperiaX:

To start the Xperia in fastboot mode (phone switched off): volume UP + plugin usb. Keep volume up button pressed until your led lights blue (about 2 seconds).
To boot the recovery enter this in a terminal instance open in the folder containing hybris-recovery.img:

Code:
sudo fastboot boot hybris-recovery.img
Your phone boots to recovery (very small text displayed). In the same terminal window, enter

Code:
telnet 10.42.66.66
Select option 3 (shell). 5-digit unlock code will be asked but not displayed (phone will be locked for 24 hours after 4 mistakes)

In case of failure, exit: volume UP + on/off/fingerprint button.

Otherwise, proceed as indicated in https://together.jolla.com/question/...post-id-156670

Yes, and Xperia X is increasingly hard to buy.

I also wish Jolla or some other company would start a business selling Xperias with Sailfish pre-installed.
