After successfully flash the new OS2008, I was so excited and forgot to exit the R&D mode. after rebooting I see the kernel info when reboot as well as the n770 image.

I did the ssh again and login as root and used ./flasher-3.0 --disable-rd-mode

it didn't work, still on the R&D mode. I tried doing the same with my ubuntu environment, and it just stuck on
"Suitable USB device not found, waiting"

it sits there, I tried to unplug and plug again the USB cable nothing happened. I even tried to reboot N800 while pressing the home key and usb cable plugged in, nothing happed.

Is there anything happen if I leave it on R&D mode?
Should I have to disable it?

Any help would be highly appriciated.

Thanks

never mind, I was on VMWare environment, installing the vmwaretools bring the usb device in vmware environment.

Still not sure, if it didn't detect the usb, how come it went fine when I flashed the new OS yesterday.
Weired....

Hmm... the CNet instructions didn't say to leave R & D mode.

Haven't heard of any problems leaving it in R & D yet, so I wouldn't worry.

Yes the CNet instructions didn't say, but there must be some reasons behind having R&D mode on and off.

But I definately wanted to get it back on production mode and not leaving on R&D mode.

whatever....

BTW after turning off the R&D mode, I noticed that the device is getting less warmer which I was experiencing from the past 24 hours.

please confirm if someone also experience the same...
