Nokia Data KS-21 cashier terminal computer from 1989 I think. Refurbished and in use. It had closed rom, about 160Mb. And not too much ram. Ms dos 3.1 sealed. Now 7" colour screen, dvd, touchpad, 8Gb ram and fast 120Gb ssd. JBL Cube installed inside as a loudspeaker. Two USB ports for wifi antenna or N900 and for using Rtl-sdr receivers. Skywave Linux installed. Motherboard, fan and battery from a bigger emachine. Didn't figure the wifi antenna plug before finished but the original chip doesn't support monitor mode so no loss there.

6610 is the oldest one I've got. 6220, N95 (needs repair to lighting circuit/capacitor) and N900 complete my tiny collection. Prior to Nokia I had a Motorola M3888 which was one of the few options for Virgin Mobile at launch.

For the keyboard I sawed the tops of the original keys with ironsaw, smoothed them a bit and glued to the new keyboard to get original colouring to the keys. Can say it took a while to do but glad I did it. Used a lots and lots of hot glue and the machine is filled with wire: from the usb keyboarde, ridiculously long wire on the usb touchpad, from the JBL Cube loudspeaker. There were 2 usb spot on the mother board free and I connected to them two pieces of usb hubs with four places. The keyboard, touchpad, loudspeaker, dvd player and the screen all take power through usb. So no rocket science used on this machine. Just had to think a lot how to and then figure out how to fit all inside.

My oldest device, is Nokia 9210 Communicator, after finally digging up a new battery -well, used. It boots and works . Only problem is finding a dial-up internet provider.
