It would be kinda like this: you give it a list of RSS URLs, telling which ones (if any) you want the tittle plus the first paragraph and whether to show the favicon or not, the scrolling speed how many old news to remember, how big is the crawler content cache etc: with the widget added (it would automaticly be present on all desktops) it would poll the URLs looking for new news as often as you tell it to, and it would scroll the news in the widget like as if it was the crawler on a news channel on TV, but if you swipe the desktop going to the left one the news on the crawler are scrolled to the previous ones, if you scroll to the right it goes to the next ones, not looping unless you reach the end of the cache, pausing the builtin scroll of the bar to while dragging to make ,it easier to find what you're looking for; clicking anywhere on a news' text without dragging will fire up the browser opening the article in question; a news that hasn't been displayed before will show highlighted the first time.

The widgets would have configurable font size, typeface color etc, background color, padding of the bar etc. If possible, allow for more than one bar, with each bar having it's own settings, including the settings mentioned in the previous paragraph.

Obviouslly this shouldn't run when the desktop widgets aren't visible, like while not in the desktop, (like when other programs got focus, the dashboard, menus etc) and when the screen is locked (though it would be a nice touch to have the option of showing the crawlers in the unlock screen)
