Try to forcefully remove the offending package
This might be the solution
Code:
dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq PACKAGE
And start reading how to install those packages!

@sifo
*facepalm*
You tried to install a webOS package using the debian package manager?!?

This thread may be of some help: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=81314

webOS .ipk, Optware .ipk, Android .apk, Maemo/Debian .deb are all different package formats, don't try to mix and match.

And if you are going to try this again: http://wiki.maemo.org/Preenv/FAQ

P.S.A. To use a package built for a different package manager, you MUST extract the contents and install on the system manually (copying) without the assistance of the package manager to avoid breaking it.

P.S. This thread is for when dpkg breaks H.A.M.
