No problems. An you are probably right in some ways.

I'm not a fanboy that companies can take for granted. After all , I am running a one man boycott.

Neither am I. I actually think Jolla are doing something good, offering an alternative to the giants.
I wouldn't even have had a smartphone if I had not found Jolla. Some years ago I tried them all, and all of them made me feel sick. I was on my way to go back to some dumb phone, when I stumbled over Jolla. I needed exactly 2.5 seconds to order one.

With regards to fingerprint, I came across this when looking to see if there is an open source upstream of libdevicelock for N900. https://git.merproject.org/adenexter...gin-devicelock

That's the difference ... for Turing you need 2.5 years or more

That is not an entirely fair comment. You may as well say that ordering a (new, from the shop) Jolla would take an infinity years.

I am with dave on this, the whole thing smells of a scam. If this was real, then surely someone would have sent the phone to gizmodo, engadget, gsmarena, or a multitude of other sites out there to have it promoted and featured. The whole thing just smells.

From the video, min. 19.40 , I understand that they had 12.000 reservations. They lost 10.000 of them due bla bla bla, remaining with 2000 preorders and later they lost another 30% due delays. Only 70% of these committed to buy.
So, 1400 TRI phones should be shipped. BUT, not in one batch.
By your calculation that would be 980, not 1400 then.

Do you seriously think that any remotely sane person would go ahead with supposedly de-mothballing an ex Nokia factory on those numbers, and sending out an additional cheapo Chinese OEM version?

The level of delusion remains obscene here.

What kind of batches are we talking .. it would be rather surprising if they received less than a couple of hundred phones in a batch ... even if it was a quarter of that you'd expect many more reports to surface of end-users receiving them. Instead we have one guy here and two highly dubious twitter accounts, plus an Ebay listing.

Literally every level of this stinks. Why do you think the press have stopped covering them?
