I know of college friends with iPhones/iPod touch that bought a software called "Vocab" from iTunes to help them learn more vocabulary. I'm having some trouble finding such apps for Maemo. It would be great if someone can get back to me on this before I use the vocabulary list that I have obtained and make a program to help me learn the vocabulary better on my N810.

You might find helpful these two apps:

1) ankimaemi :http://ichi2.net/anki/wiki/Anki%20on%20Maemo

2) flashcards(granule): http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/granule/

I personally prefer ankimaemi.

I have installed ankimaemi. However, I can't open the app. What am I possibly missing to get this running?

Even I believe that online apps are really very helpful in passing the competitive exams. Nowadays most of the people prefer subscribing to online courses as these are easily accessible. Even I had to join the online app for practicing LSAT Logic Games, essays and other stuff for my law school admission exam. I had really good experience with the app.
