VNC should work both ways (remote GUI access from elsewhere to N900 and from N900 to elsewhere).
Haven't tried it myself but use the search function and you should be able to find more info.

Do you want to view the n900 through your PC desktop?
You can install x11vnc from the repo's and install tightvnc on to your desktop.
It works better over wifi but is still a little slow. You may also find that your n900 will also go to sleep after a while so you will need to go in to settings to set the screen options to not turn off.

i just installed X11vnc from your advice.A quick question: I run it from xterm as root.
then what do you use as address in the vnc viewer on desktop? "Nokia_N900:0" or the ip address. both are failing for me.

is der any way to control the media player with a remote..i hav a small fm transmitter wth which i got a remote to control it.can i control N900 media player with this remote.
Is exists an application to get a UI remote access on N900 ?
