I mostly used ext3 as a second partition's filesystem. Tried also ext4.
I have tried to set permissions in few ways, including 777 but it didn't help.

I also read somewhere on the Internet that this problem (init: cannot execve...) may be caused by mounting the partition as read-only.

Didn't read the whole Thread so it propably is a re-post. Found this Nitdroid U-boot Guide and felt like posting it: http://all-about-maemo5.blogspot.de/...00-camera.html

and... rc6 kernel source (Makefile: .NIT.07):

In further search for the reason of throwing errors during boot I would like to ask about trying out this command on the root directory of second sdcard partition:
Code:
tree -p -I data -I cache > out.txt
This command creates in file called out.txt a tree of whole nitdroid filesystem including permissions and excluding data and cache folders due to privacy reasons.
I don't know if this command will work on Maemo5. I used it on PC computer with Linux Mint, memory card reader and installed package "tree".

I will try to look for differences which may cause problems.

Bump.

And a question.
Is there any way to install NITDroid on N900's internal memory to make it work with U-Boot?

You can try continue to use nitdroid-installer but you have to place image, kernel and manifest files in special places under /MyDocs folder (".nitdroid" folder for image and kernel placement, put manifest file in "/MyDocs" folder) - I didn't test that method. Or, You can install it manually, here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm6spW5yadk (for internal memory, not external memory card). And You will need tools for android-nitdroid working good/fast enough which are "root" tool and cpu overclocking tool (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=91117 https://talk.maemo.org/attachment.ph...7&d=1293643705 correspondingly).
Also, I suggest to use U-Boot http://all-about-maemo5.blogspot.de/...00-camera.html
