Is there any way to disable some of the power saving modes on the n800. One of the things I hated most about the N770 was its lack of granular power management. The lack of any real control over power saving really irks me. It keeps me from using my tablet for all sorts of applications. Why shouldn't I be able to choose an interval longer than 5 minutes for power saving, particularly when plugged in? Has anyone looked into writing their own power management toolbar or applet? How about hacking the limited built in one to add 999 minutes or some such as an option?

It should be trivial to write a daemon process that watches the message bus for AC / battery notifications and switches off power saving when on AC, the same way the media player does.
It just needs some volunteer...

Well, being able to disable it while on AC would be nice, but I need something that can work in the field. In particular, I need to be able to keep the screen at full strength and keep the n800 from mucking about with the wifi and bluetooth.
