As you can see, it is a pretty decent screen for the price. My second thought was what will it take to hook up an n900 (or neo900) to this? Is it doable?

What is the difference between this and the pitft?

It is still a low power screen, not as low as the pitft but still good.

Even if there is no chance of an n900 board running on it, the Rpi has now moved in to the affordable “build your own device” territory with this.

Also: the new screen is connected via DSI (it uses the display connector) while the PiTFT is using the GPIO port.

i'm considering this with pi 2 and a western digital pidrive, a 1tb with cable for power that has powers both the drive and the pi itself. might be useful for some real arm testig of my gtk3 hildon work.
