Hi,

Does someone have time and motivation to package eds-tools for fremantle-extras? Having this tool would help greatly in debugging addressbook related bugs like MB#5365.

I'll take a look, but my plate is currently pretty full, so I don't want to promise anything.

Awesome!

For whatever reason the package doesn't show up in the program manager, but manual installation from terminal ("apt-get install eds-tools") worked.

Yes, I gave it a section that was not in user/ because the eds-tools package contains command-line tools which aren't of use to the average user. But, if you wish, I have no problem in giving it a user/ category.

Indeed, makes sense to not polute the program manager with that package. Just have to remember telling people to leave root shell after running apt-get.
