No This is not the correct way
the correct way is

dpkg --force-all -i Fruitgo.deb
then

meecolay /opt/Fruitgo/bin/Fruitgo
meecolay not for deb file first you unzip the deb file and then run it .

i try some programs and it worked good but when i try to run compass I got the message
What is
g_object_get: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
Because it was replicated when i try with the rest of the programs like FilesPlus What is the wrong ؟؟؟

Hey!
I want to run alchemist, it's in the compatibility list. with "Rotation lock required".
Looked all the forum and couldn't find the answer...
What's rotation lock? How do I enable it?
If I have cssu*, orientation lock applet doesn't work... What do I do?
Does rotation lock relate to hildon-desktop forcerotation parameter?
When I run Alchemist, it's locked to inverted panoramic mode... I think... because the window decoration is in portrait mode... Any workaround?

Yes, and no...
