hey guys i secure locked my device on my nokia n900 and i didnt know the lock code and the default 12345 doesnt work so i dont know what too do and its driving me crazy i was wondering if u guys knew any codes because my friend found one starting something like 77.... it worked but i cant remember it and i have locked myself out since anyway any help would b appreciated thanks

hey thanks dancairo i cant seam to get that code um how can i reset it instead

Hey buddy. A few things you can try:

Read this post:

Make sure you have rootsh installed first otherwise the echo command wont work.

If you don't use Ubuntu and use a PC google john the ripper (software) and then read this post how to use it:

If again you can't make it work, then install rootsh (go to application manager and find it there).

Open X-terminal and type

Sudo gainroot hit enter

then type this command:

echo root:$(grep -A 13 lock_code /dev/mtd1|tail -1): hit enter

and then post the result here and I will decode it for you. Make sure you post the result exactly as it is case sensitive.

One could suggest that someone smart enough to change a lock code and forget it, then blame the device might suck balls.
