What have they planned for this year?

Ok, looser. Sounds like an exiting year for you. Hope they have something more up in their sleeves.

Seems that the "low-end spec" and "feature phone" segments are the next battle ground in the market.

- Google has already been planning some stuff given Android Go
- Now apparently Jolla has managed to get some manufacturers to notice that Qt/QML is very light-weight and remainsl pretty fluid even on more modest hardware specs.

(Common: Next years feature phones' hardware specs won't be that much different from venerable Jolla 1's specs, and that smartphone can still run SFOS fluidly including a few android apps).

Newer faster SoC, much bigger battery, rear-facing NFC reader/writer, rear-facing fingerprint sensor, marginally shorter.
