How can I return to default settings? Uninstalling not helps.
Looking through the sources it looks as if prerm script removes redirection inside /etc/hosts
So uninstallation should get you to "default settings (?)"!

Try deleting the wifi connection and creating it again.

Yes. When phone connects to wifi, the default browser opens with link http://www.google.ru/?gfe_rd=cr&ei=[...] ([...] is random ~20 symbols)

127.0.0.1 connectivity-test.ext.nokia.com
I see 173.194.112.231 is that google page. Will it http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...8&postcount=26 help? Or simply delete string "173.194.112.231 swipe.nokia.com127.0.0.1 connectivity-test.ext.nokia.com"?

Remove the two occurrences of '127.0.0.1 connectivity-test.ext.nokia.com'.

Did you add '173.194.112.231 swipe.nokia.com' to authenticate your account in the native Twitter client?
If so, you can leave that as it is or remove it. It shouldn't matter once the account has been authenticated.

Ah, now I see.
missing newline after last entry in hosts file not observed
and redirection to google (as swipe.nokia.com down)

So , as ginggs said, manually edit your /et/hosts.
Or do as root:
Code:
echo "127.0.0.1 RM696 localhost

173.194.112.231 swipe.nokia.com
" > /etc/hosts

Which 'patch'? How did you install ("tried").
I have no probs at all anymore (but also did not have that "weird" reverting).
Hi peterleinchen

Thanks for your reply and apologies for my delay. Firefox don't show the image verification... Google is messing with certificates, I guess.

Coming back to my problem. The patch I was talking is an application available at the Warehouse.repos that you can install via Warehouse application. That application is called "Connectivity Test Server" that I believe it is the same as one found on previous replies on this thread.

Some time ago, after the Nokia test server being already down, I had no problems with the automatic connections being reverted to manual connections, my N9 browser stop working on WiFi but not on 3G. I have reset the device settings, the browser started working on WiFi but from that moment onwards, all my WiFi connections are changed to manual after the first access...

I suspect that eventually theere is some hidden parameter that prevented from being changed to manual...that need the Nokia connection server... or that the patch messed with the settings...

Thanks, the problem is solved. I delete "127.0.0.1 connectivity-test.ext.nokia.com" from "173.194.112.231 swipe.nokia.com127.0.0.1 connectivity-test.ext.nokia.com". Now it is
Code:
127.0.0.1 RM696 localhost

173.194.112.231 swipe.nokia.com
127.0.0.1 connectivity-test.ext.nokia.com
Now works fine, I can make automaticaly used wifi networks
