I had a cheap one (around $4 bucks) and it snapped where the box meets the cable. Though i think it was mainly my fault since i put behind a wheeled bed, wich i hardly ever remember to set the brakes after i move it. It worked quite nicely for the price, and i don't think i'd be paying the extra for an original one.

Thankfully, this has been resolved, after Nokia repaired it for me (for free).
Be warned though, the work was sub-contracted out, who were unreliable in the use of couriers (both times only gave my address, but not my name, which was not great when arranging a pick up from work; and did not forewarn me of the return). Overall though, they have done a great job!

It is the tiniest power connector I've ever seen. I can't help but be extra gentle with a connector that small.

Suffice to say I shall have well and truly learnt my lesson. Now, not only do I take extra care wihen inserting the connector, I also have one where I work and one in my house, to avoid any potential damage I may incur through it being carried in my bag. Paranoid? Oh yes...
