Seems no one has bothered to create a new thread, even though it has been out for weeks and has been mentioned at least once in another thread. As they say, if you want anything done properly, do it yourself

My first observation: an absolutely appalling battery drain without a network connection.

Initial conditions: Jolla 1, no SIM card, WiFi on.
Environmental conditions: 2 days at a resort with a free WiFi that I did not bother signing in to as the phone was intended as a backup only in case my main phone (Nokia N900) runs out of battery. The phone was on but effectively offline all the time.

Observations:
Day 1, 09:00. Leaving home. Battery at 100%.
Day 1, 10:30. Arriving at destination. Battery status not checked.
Day 2, 00:30. Battery at 30%.
Day 2, 07:30. Phone dead. Put on a charger.
Day 2, 09:30. Taken off the charger. Battery at 89%.
Day 2, 19:00. Arriving home. Phone dead.

Estimated battery drain: 7-9% per hour.

Once back at home, charged up and turned on, the phone connected to my home network and reverted to its usual about 2% drop per hour. So, without a network connection, the battery drained 4x faster.

IMHO this is not the right step:

@jolla should update to 2.1.3 as soon as possible. But the official release is 2.1.2 so it should be supported by "patchmanagers" as well (thinking about Ultimate Statusbar...

Nope. Not that I've noticed. JollaC seems to be even worse... .

As far as I've noticed, it seems to be launching of apps that consumes power (1-2 Watt compared to 0,3 or less without no apps open)

So is there a way to clock down the phone dynamically?
