Can anyone give me an exact link from where I can install Abiword on my Nokia N810 device?

Thanks!

Try http://rickybrent.com/maemo/debs/. You'll want abiword.install. If you used the tablets browser abiword should install. On a PC you'll end up downloading a small text file called abiword.install. Transfer that file to your tablet and run it.

Another question: how do I associate it with the "doc" extension? So that I can view the attachments in e-mail...

fragos: Why do you suggest that version of abiword over, say, Yerga's patched version, or, even better, pipeline's Abiword Appliance?

And use DBus Switchboard to associate filetypes in maemo.

No particular reason -- it's the one I found.
