It could be the new situation where admin blocked updates are somehow mocked... this is new. And if you do not block certain hotfixes - some often not labeled as progressive updates toward Windows 10.

I think the difference here is that the Windows 10 update has been upgraded in importance (perhaps to the same level as security patches?), so that people who had previously just turned off "recommended" updates are now seeing it. I suspect it's going to get a lot harder to avoid Windows 10 now...

as I sit here watching an entire corporate landscape subsumed by Win10,
during our current brief industrial hiatus,
I await the discovery of just how many dated software applications we use will no longer function.
Fortunately our core mission-critical stuff is a linux cluster,
but our corporate overlords have for years pounded the desk
with threats and frothing at the mouth about how
Microsoft Office makes anyone qualified to drive a desktop,
and that using anything but windows was a waste of time
and possibly even indicated loyalty issues.
(our linux stuff is far too technically demanding for
anything Windows does or can even possibly do.
It performs real-time terabyte-scale 64bit data acquisition
on a monstrous scaling.
Our overlords still think it is a black box I keep a genie in)

Not too many days from now I expect shrieks of despair
and an endless project where we upgrade -everything-
just to satisfy the new Win10 feeding requirements.

...or not - the nice thing about being a pessimist is that
being mistaken can be a quite pleasant alternative to being correct.

Not sure if this is still present in Windows 10 but this made me chuckle...

This problem is easy to fix by creating an account by the name 'abuser' instead of 'user'.

Funnily enough, IIS used to use IUSR_ and IWAM_ accounts to avoid this "user" issue. I thought this went away years ago; apparently it's still alive and kicking. Now that's hilarious.
