go to the swype forums ( click me ), search for "maemo" and vote for all threads that come up! or create new threads. anything to get the developers attention.

I wrote to the company but got no answer and gave up the whole thing but I used Your link and voted for it. Thank's for the tip.

i just saw only 1 voteable thread comes up, because the other is "completed".

i dont have an account over there, but someone should make a new thread! we should organize ourselves and vote this new thread up so they know we are serious about it! most posts in the existing thread are 7 or 8 month old... if nothing happens, we're not getting swype, i guess.

Maybe if more people would vote it could be done. The registration is easy. When you tap the vote button you can register in a few seconds by typing your mail and that is it.

already voted on that android has another keyboard like swype called slideit it was free in the android market you'd probably be better asking them

Just spotted Swype released on Nokia Beta Labs for selected S60v5 handsets ; http://betalabs.nokia.com/apps/swype-for-symbian/

this looks very slow comparing to typing on HW keyboard.
I miss HWR from UIQ.
