If that are J2ME apps the answer is no, but there is a package microemulator in Extras testing for that. Don't forget to vote, if it helps you.

Since mid-end of April is available a new version of Oracle's EJRE (1.6.0 Update 25) with many bug fixes.

I don't know a link for direct download so only registered users (free registration) of Oracle's site can download it

EDIT:
A my friend has found out a direct link (without registration)
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/ja...ad-355127.html

For N900 please download ejre-1_6_0_25-fcs-b06-linux-arm-vfp-eabi-headful-14_apr_2011.tar.gz

Java Applets work also, with Oracle's EJRE, on FireFox (Fennec) 5.0 and 6.0 Beta.
FF 4.0.1 not tried but I suppose it works also

PS
Plugins on FireFox are disabled as default, you must enable them changing plugin.disable option to false (on about:config)

Kinda - it is painfully slow on my n900, maybe because I asked it to synchronize my bookmarks, but it shouldn't be, and the site that I linked earlier, in my machine, shows a corrupt applet.

I'm yet to see a problem with java on Chromium |:/

ln –s /opt/ejre1.6.0_21/lib/arm/libnpjp2.so /home/user/.mozilla/plugins/libnpjp2.so
Only one of them is needed because /home/user/.mozilla/plugins is a symbolic link to /usr/lib/browser/plugins

So please use only
ln –s /opt/ejre1.6.0_25/lib/arm/libnpjp2.so /home/user/.mozilla/plugins/libnpjp2.so

Yes, probably. Either that or using xterm.

please post a video tutorial

the tutorial says to type java in xterm after copying the extracted folder to home/opt/java.
when i do that it tells me not found.

2. is it normal that i dont have the local/bin directory in /usr?

3.i changed the profile file just like in the tutorial. with an editor (windows).
after that, when i type root or sudo gainroot in xterm i get an error?

can someone give me the files ready so i just need to copy them?

thx in advance
