We didn't buy a tablet, we donated to development of a tablet

I got a refund for my preorder through PayPal today. Sent in the request this last weekend and got the funds back in my bank account today.

Oh no. Something that takes up a considerable amount of space on my forearm is not the way to go in my book. And I own a Moto360 - it's collecting dust somewhere in this house. I don't think we've gotten where we should be in regards to battery life and functionality.

Besides... didn't Leela have to deal with forearm funk or something in an episode?

Those tablets seem to not have been produced yet, except a 1k wave.

HW is old, probably not anymore available at all.
New HW designing / testing would need manpower / money.
HW support/warranty would be expensive.
And and and ...

But all is just foggy, so let's wait for official statement. Maybe tomorrow.
I guess it can be manufactured, but they need to reorder components, reserve manufacturing slots etc. so we would be having additional delay, something like 3 months. Of course it would cost to restart manufacturing and it would be hard to sell as it's aging. If they are going to get away from being device manufacturing altogether, it wouldn't be reasonable business wise to continue manufacturing. So, it boils down to questions:

- which option majority of people prefer, refund or having tablets almost two years late from original delivery date
- if they cancel and refund, what kind of backlash it creates
- because they are short on resources still, would that backslash do bigger harm than putting those resources into restarting of production

Personally I'm not sure which option I prefer. I like the tablet and kind of have a need for such thing, but on the other hand my phone is two years old and I'm not sure how long it will last. So...

Hi guys out there, this is my very first post here. I want to tell you: Today I got my refund from Jolla. Fortunately I ordered the tablet on the Jolla shop and paid by PayPal.
And I have reinvested the money immediately: I have ordered the tablet at Taobao! I hope I'll get it soon, maybe before X-mas.
Try it out:

It is all too bad for the company Jolla, but that's business. I hope the OS will survive ...

No snow but a tablet ...

The best choice for Jolla is refund all since it would be faster and they can start to go where they want much faster. After refund they could start another tablet campaign for the ones that want a tablet(given that Jolla wants to release the tablet at all)

Jolla tablet campaign ll @ Indiegogo

...or just sell it in shop.
