After installing Mtube the app does not play the videos.
Other apps (KMplayer, mplayer, etc play vidoes (flv, ogv, h264 normally.
And running the defined command line of mplayer, mplayer runs normally.

Does anyone know this problem ?

Youtube always tries to block 3rd party apps from playing their videos. Probably the author needs to update to match Youtube's latest changes.

Finally I found a solution.
I found that it did not download videos as Youtube has changed the protocol to download the FLV vids. I found a patch on this site: http://forums.internettablettalk.com...d.php?p=763643 a direct link is http://forums.internettablettalk.com...9&d=1280013217 Anter installing mytube you should install this patch by
Code:
sudo dpkg -i Mytubepatch-0.1.5c-1_all.deb
Then it works fine !

I have posted this info on the Maemo mytube download site:

hi;
Sorry to be so helpless. Probably missing a repo or something. Have not tried to run mytube for over a year on my n810. Reinstalled, but when I try the patch, I get this:
~ $ sudo dpkg -i Mytubepatch-0.1.5c-1_all.deb
dpkg: error processing Mytubepatch-0.1.5c-1_all.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
Mytubepatch-0.1.5c-1_all.deb

TIA,

Steve

Try this after dpkg ....
Code:
sudo apt-get -f install
which will correct the dependency problems in most cases.

if you're in the same folder as the .deb file try:

sudo dpkg -i ./Mytubepatch-0.1.5c-1_all.deb
