Nokia does not support cisco's authentication protocols (google "asleap") and as such this was marked down as wont fix in the bug tracker...
Some people will connect depending on the setup of their network.
What you can do is compile and run wpa_supplicant and use the configuration file from any linux machine that is already connected to your network to find out what you need in your config file.

I had the same problem at Hong Kong university od Science and Technology with the same Eduroam network.

Support centre here was not too much usable.

The solution came in the night and was very simple.
1. Install wpa_supplicant
2. Set up network manually and don't forget to go to Advanced -> EAP -> Manual user name.
