Hi all,
I'm happy to announce that the first Meego Italian conference is now a reality and in organization.

The first annual conference, called MeeGo Italian Day, is a one-day free event to be held in Italy, precisely in Bologna the 18th March 2011 focused on the MeeGo open-source linux-based OS and Qt environment.

The conference will be entirely in Italian and will address the main issues of disclosure of information about this new open-source operating system and the point is located in its development: Maemo as a progenitor, MeeGo in general, the structure of the project, some keynotes from Intel, Qt framework, software development, etc...

The MeeGo Italian Day is sponsored by Intel Corporation Italy and organized with the collaboration of University of Bologna.

More info @ http://www.meegoit.com

An English version of the program (preview) is online @ http://www.meegoit.com/2011/extra/EN...am_Preview.pdf

The program is still being developed but is now almost complete. Let us, however, proposals for presentations (and their speakers) to be interesting to include in the conference program. Any good ideas?

In this first phase, it's important to promote the event as possible, publishing the conference in forums, wikis, and blogs.

The hashtag for Twitter is #MeeGoIT and twitter account for the organization of event is http://twitter.com/meegoitcom.

This informations are available also on Google Groups @ http://groups.google.com/group/meego-network-italy

This conference is rather an occasion to organize an Italian MeeGo Network.

Salve a tutti,

It seems quite technical for a fond Maemo *user* who feels ready to start with Meega (but has not even a cpu-compatible notebook).
Could a non IT professional, non coder (safe for some shell script) get some kicks from the event?
