hello to all. i have a problem installing maemo-gaim:the gaim-app does not appear in the task-bar after i install it(the installation does seam to work ok thoug),the "extras"-folder does also not appear in the task-bar...im no unix-pro...i have the newest nokia -8 softwareupdate installed. thanks for your help.

Which gaim port did you try? I believe there are two of them.

the one from the "maemo application catalog"..."maemo_gaim_1.5-dk-1_arm.deb" i tried also to reinstall the newest -8 nokia software,but it? not possible also...anyone can help me? (desperate sigh....)

ok, one step at a time. Please list the step you took to install gaim. After installing, is gaim listed a application in the Application Installer?

hello henry,the probleme is solved,the 2nd gaim-version you suggested did install,works fine,also the "extra"-folder did reappear...thanks a lot !!
