Hello,

I've followed the steps decribed under chapter Wifi in https://leste.maemo.org/Motorola_Droid_4 and tried to install

apt install ti-utils-wilink6 droid4-wlanconfig.

Apt gave me the message, that the package droid4-wlanconfig could'nt be found.

Has someone a hint for me?

Thanks

Did you 'apt update' before trying to install the packages?

Please try the following:
In
Code:
/etc/apt/sources.list
change the line
Code:
deb https://maedevu.maemo.org/leste beowulf main contrib non-free
to
Code:
deb https://maedevu.maemo.org/leste beowulf main contrib non-free droid4
and try apt update and install again.

Hi sicelo,

I've changed in file
Code:
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list
the line
Code:
deb https://maedevu.maemo.org/leste beowulfs man contrib non-free
to
Code:
deb https://maedevu.maemo.org/leste beowulfs man contrib non-free droid4
executed
Code:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
and installed
Code:
sudo apt install ti-utils-wilink6 droid4-wlanconfig
without an error.

After that I executed
Code:
sudo maserati-calibrate
and got following output:
Code:
MAC addr from NVS: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Calibrating wlan0
Fail to set PLT power mode on
Calibrating not complete. Removing half-baked nvs
Error calibrating device
I stopped wlan and executed the command again and got:
Code:
MAC addr from NVS: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
Calibrating wwan3
rmmod: ERROR: Module wl12xx is not currently loaded
Fail to set PLT power mode on
Calibrating not complete. Removing half-baked nvs
Error calibrating device
Any idea

Yes, this works too. However, this is very likely going to get overwritten by Hildon Application Manager. I would still recommend that later on you make the change in /etc/apt/sources.list itself.

As for your calibration error, wait a bit for other Droid 4 users/testers to assist. My Droid 4 never really had any issues with wifi, so I didn't test a lot of the wifi tweaks.

Likely you got a kernel upgrade too. Try rebooting first.

Hi Wizzup_,
you where right.

After 12 upgrades I've succesfull calibrated my wlan chip .

After the calibration it was not possible to connect to my private wlan network . I had to delete the saved wlan data on my FRITZ!Box 3490 and the connection on the droid4. Then it was possible to create a new and working wlan connection.

A new established connection to the mobile hotspot of my Sony Xperia X with ubports works like a charme.

Thanks to all for their help and have a nice Sunday, druk13
