I've updated the rover.sys file since I had missed the ; and : keys. They should work now. If there's any extra symbol missing feel free to tell me.

EVEN THE FUNCTION KEYS WORK!
(Shift+FN+q,w,e,r,t....)

Please note: in dosbox.conf do not load a mapper.txt and in the current version (maemo5) of dosbox make sure you have usescancodes=true enabled in your dosbox config.

Awesome!

hi javispedro, thanks for the mapping

i may be doing something wrong but I can't figure out what. when I try to load rover.sys I get the message "no layout in auto for codepage 858"

any idea what I am doing wrong or this has been pointed out before. it is rather late here!

cheers!

The command is "keyb rover.sys us". Please ensure you're typing that last parameter

Is F10 working? All other F-keys are working fine but on F10 I get 'P'. I need to drive some high speed pursuits in Police Quest

No, it's not. Btw, where would you like F11 and F12 mapped?

how you guys explain it... is very hard for a noob like me!

I dont understand a thing of how to change a .conf file!

I installed leafpad: but when i press "cd /home/user/.dosbox/" and after that "leafpad /dosbox.conf/ leafpad opens a blank page.

And how do i copy the rover file in the root? i cant get there.

Cant anyone just update the dosbox and put it in the devel repo under dosbox 0.73.1 or something. the files are allready being written.

When you guys explain, you could keep in mind that not every one is a maemo geek, but still want to learn how it must be done.

Isn't there a website where exactly is explained hwo it all works with illustrations of the directorie trees. i have absolutely no idea what is saved where and how to copy from one dir to another.

cant there be something written so you see the root on the filemanager?

You don't need to edit that file.
Just open X Terminal and type
Code:
dosbox -startmapper
This will open the DOSBox key mapper and you'll be able to map the ESC key... but good luck finding where to map it.
In the future I guess I will add Shift+Backspace -> ESC to rover.sys ...

you are my hero :-) thanks

1 last question is that I have HOMM, but when I extra the files to a folder and then try and run setup from dosbox it says this can't been done from dos.

How to get this to run, can I just run the mdf files or do I need to do something first?

Thanks
Chris
